Who We Are
We are a member congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the oldest Christian community formed on the American frontier. To learn more, check out www.disciples.org.
One of our founders, a long time a go, once wrote:
“In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity”
What this means is that, for us, faith is an individual matter – no one can tell you what to believe.
That being said we are, all of us, followers of Jesus and we regard the Bible as the definitive word that defines that relationship. So, what do we believe?
Many of us believe many things, but we all agree on four basic principles.
LOVE – We are to love everyone (John 13:34-35)
WORSHIP – We are to worship joyfully (Luke 10:27)
GROW – We are to grow deeper in our faith (Matthew 13:8-9, 23)
SERVE – We are to server others (Matthew 25:37-40)
Join us in joyful worship every Sunday at 10:30 am. Join in with “The Disciples” Praise Band as we sing both contemporary Christian and upbeat classic hymns to the Lord.
The Lord’s Supper or Communion is celebrated in weekly worship. It is open to all who are followers of Jesus Christ. The practice of Holy Communion has become the central element of worship within the Disciples tradition.
